(More customer reviews)I am a circuit board design engineer. When my RF-1010 failed for no apparent reason, I took off the cover and looked at the circuit board. All of the protection circuits had been removed by the manufacturer. The fuse was replaced by a wire. The two TVS devices were not installed. These are Transient Voltage Surpressors. They are in place to prevent spikes in voltage from damaging the circuits. When you have a big wire encircling your backyard, you WILL get spikes.
It's just a shame that they made their product a pce of crap for what? To save a couple pennies in components, or to make money from the repair service.
