Ferret Fun 5-in-one Harness and Leash - Lime Review

She always managed to lose her other one, so I got this one so that if she kept losing it I could just have her in the whole harness when out playing, but she's kept it on nicely. The bells are why I keep the collars in them most of the time, just makes them much easier to keep track of in the house when you can hear (or uh-oh, not hear) them running around.

Merchsource 1624562 Pet Leash with Flashlight Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased this item specifically for the light for night walking. The light broke after the 2nd use. It is difficult to control the lease (stop or go)and it would hurt my hand. I would not recommend this for anyone. Not well made.

Retractable Leash (3-8B) Review

(More customer reviews)First off, I just want to preface this by saying that I don't think an type of retractable leash is suitable for a dog that hasn't quite mastered heeling. The dog gets up a pretty good head start and you run out of leash and...well, it probably wouldn't be pretty. I WOULD recommend the Illusion Collar by Cesar Milan, which worked miracles for us.
So, since we'd already mastered the walk, I wanted to move on to having my dog off-leash. All the training manuals and info. on the web I'd seen recommended using a super long cord to attach to the dog and pull them back towards you while you call them. Problem is, you have to use both hands to pull the leash in fast enough, and it's hard to pull the leash in quickly enough when the dog is further away.
But, with the 30 feet Flexi, PROBLEM SOLVED! It was great because I had enough leash to let Clyde wander further away, call him, and if he didn't immediately respond, I could press the "brake" button, pull him in a bit, and repeat if necessary all w/ one hand! Success!
Also, since he's good on-leash, I can walk him close to me if I want to and there's plenty of play in the leash if I want to let him sniff and roam a bit w/out having to let him off leash, which is much safer, especially when we're walking in residential areas. Highly recommend!

SPORN NO PULL HALTER MED BLUE Review

I was skeptical when i bought this product and boy was I wrong! We went for a 45 min. walk last night and it was an absolute breeze. I cannot say enough of this product. I would highly recommend this.

Parachute Nylon Braided Choke Collar 22 In Tan Review

(More customer reviews)The nylon choke collar is your best bet for training. I have the chain choke collar but it gives a warning when it tightens with a click sound and then doesn't release as readily as the nylon version. For the easy to somewhat hard to train dog this is my recommendation. My Aussie Shepherd who is very smart, FULL of energy and wants to go-go-go needed some correction slowing down on walks & staying close to me. Things weren't progressing with the chain collar. I was told about the nylon version and searched for it in major pet stores as well as boutique stores and couldn't find it. I finally searched Amazon. The price is GREAT! So start with this collar first and if you find you have a hard to train dog who's stubborn & very dominate I would recommend the more expensive Martingale Collar in a chain or webbing version.

(More customer reviews)After our city dogs escaped numerous times from their new 5.5-acre yard in the country, and after almost losing one to a rattlesnake bite, we decided drastic measures were in order. Not wanting to bury 5.5 acres worth of wiring, we bought the wireless version, but it created too small an area for our dogs. They could not go into several of their favorite spots in the yard. Amazon was not willing to do anything about the return or exchange of the product because it took us longer than the return period to get it set up in the first place. But, PETSAFE was AWESOME at exchanging the system for the wired version! I highly recommend the brand, given the customer service they provided. They made sure we had a fence we were happy with, and even express delivered the right system when we were sent the wrong one as a result of a miscommunication. We used zip ties to attach the wire to our existing fencing, and were able to cover 5.5 acres in less than a day! We love it! Our pups only got shocked twice before they decided never to try escaping again. We have been escape-free for 8 months now, and they never even test the boundaries any more.
