(More customer reviews)My Belgian Sheepdog had a small mass removed from his upper front leg. He is too schizo to wear a standard E-collar, and I thought maybe he would leave the stitches alone, but he wouldn't, and licked constantly. I sprayed nasty stuff on it to no avail. I then borrowed a "Bite-Not" collar: a stiff collar that fits tightly around the neck and makes it difficult to bend the neck to reach wounds.
Unfortunately, my dog had no difficulty doing exactly that, and continued licking.
Finally I bought a Pro-Collar. I had some trouble inflating it (OMG!!!!) but that is my only complaint. My dog is not pleased, but neither can he reach the wound. I put "Bitter Apple" around the hair near the stitches just in case, but so far he has been completely unable to reach that spot on his leg.
I rate this 5 paws up, with the caveat that maybe they could figure out an easier way to inflate the thing.

It was weird though, the collar in the picture is white with red lettering and I received one that is red with white/gray lettering. I like the red one better though, looks very nice on my cat. My cat has had it on about a month now and had no problems with it. I would recommend this product.

NatureCALM 24/7 Feline Calming Pheromone Collar (Upto 15" Neck) Review

(More customer reviews)I got this product after much thought and research for my 7 year old European Burmese who tends to be restless and anxiety prone. In the past he has also had problems with aggression toward another cat in my home and spraying.
He has been on 5 mg of Prozac for the past 3 years and each time I have tried to wean him off the Prozac his noisy, restless behavior comes back within a week or two.
I am a veterinary nurse at a feline exclusive hospital and our veterinarians are recommending these NurtureCALM Pheromone Collars for cats with anxiety and behavior issues. The feedback so far has been very encouraging. It is my hope that with the help of the NurtureCALM collar my cat will be able to be weaned off Prozac.
There are several things that I don't like about the collar. It is made of a very stiff plastic like material that tends to crack and break easily. In fact the collar that I purchased was cracked in several places and the buckle was about to break off.
I ended up having to return the collar for a replacement. This was discouraging considering the high cost of the collar. The other big problem with the collar is that it is covered with a messy, flaky white substance. Apparently this is what "holds" the pheromone.
I was very concerned that it would have an unpleasant odor but it does not. The flaky white stuff is messy but I am hoping that in time it will be less so. Also, keep in mind that the collars only last about 60 days.
My cat has worn the calming collar now for about 4 weeks and I can see that it has made a huge difference in his restless behavior without making him dull. I am now giving him his Prozac every other day and he is doing well.
The flaky white stuff quickly dissapated, so it ended up not being a problem. I will continue to purchase this product and very much recommend it to cat owners who are experiencing behavior issues.

No Slip Limited Closure Collar, Red, 10 to 14-Inch Review

(More customer reviews)I've been using this type of collar for several years and highly recommend it. We've all had experience with our dogs yanking their head out of loose fitting collar. The result is that you then either tighten the collar enough that they can't slip out, or you go with a choker-type collar. Either way, this isn't a good alternative for the dog. I've got friends who keep their dog's collars so tight that I don't know how the dog stands it. This type of collar wears very loose and comfortable, but tightens gently when needed. If sized and adjusted properly, your dog will never be able to pull out of it. When they aren't pulling on a leash, they won't even know they are wearing a collar. The best of everything! I'd also note that the Coastal collar is nicely constructed and wears like iron.

SENSE-ation No-Pull Dog Harness - Black Small Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased the Sense-ation harness for my beagle some time ago, and neglected to submit a review, but realize now how helpful reviews are to other people on the fence about this product. I found this harness to be much easier to put on my squirmy beagle than the other available no-pull harnesses out there. It does take some time at first to get the right fit, but once you do, it's great. My girl pulls me down the street like she is a 100 lb. dog, but with this harness on her, she walks, sometimes prances, down the street, and I can literally hold the leash around one finger. It's almost like magic how she responds to it, as I was concerned it would be too constricting and therefore I would not use it. The middle front silver ring (where the leash attaches) should lie almost in the shape of a v, otherwise, not straight across the front of the dog's chest, just a little sloped in the middle, so the dog can sit without it becoming too tight across the chest area. I am so pleased with it, and now I don't have my arms yanked out of their sockets due to her pulling (I know, shame on the owner)! But this product really, really works. I purchased this in a small and it still has room to extend for my now 25 lb. beagle.

(More customer reviews)This is a poor quality ink-jet print glued on styrofoam. This is barely good enough for indoor but the edges are so jagged from manually cutting that it looks like someone used it as a frisbee against a brick wall before putting it in the envelope.
The package was a little wet from the postal delivery so when we opened it, the side was bubbled up from moisture.
This product could not a day outside if it can't handle a wet mail bag.

(More customer reviews)I waited 5 months for PuppyTweets to come out. The day I received it I set up a Twitter account for my boy and hooked up the antenna to my PC. Got a couple tweets while it was around my dogs neck and thought it was lame but oh well. I took off his collar when it was bed time. Over the night we got 5 or 6 more tweets from him. I thought, ok, maybe it is close to the antenna and it thought he was laying down. Because the thing that goes on his collar was so big, I wasn't going to leave it on him during the day in case he tried to eat it. I unplugged the antenna during the day when it wasn't on his neck. Well, wouldn't you know we got tweets from him...all day...1 an hour. For the next 2 days I left it unplugged and got a tweet once an hour. I have uninstalled the program from my computer, boxed up PuppyTweets and sent it back to Amazon.
Unfortunately, this product is a fake! The motion sensor, time of day and microphone have nothing to do with what it sends out.

Bright Steps Reflective Leg Band for Dogs Review

(More customer reviews)We often walk and jog with our dogs in the early morning and late evening hours, and I've always wanted a product just like this. Unfortunately, it did not live up to my expectations. My 55-60 pound dogs should fit nicely into the middle range of the medium size bands, but the bands have very little elastic stretch to them and are nearly impossible to get over the dogs' feet; I just don't have the patience to try to squeeze them over all eight feet every time I take the dogs for a walk. I think the dogs would quickly tire of such an uncomfortable routine as well. They would be wonderful if the bands had a velcro attachment so you could just wrap them on and go. On the plus side, they seem well made and the red color and reflective stripes are nice and bright.
